This would be an excellent book for an English writing class. Gone on Aug 09, I have yet to engage students in this title, so I cannot yet determine its full worth to me. As I read it, however, it really has a lot to offer for my purposes AP Language and Composition course. I do like the new pieces that have been included in this edition. I know in the future I will need to develop the skill set of writing my own multiple choice questions, but in the meant time I do so hope that Shea and Scanlon come out with a companion piece if they have not done so already. English class By Marlyne on Mar 20, I chose to give it 5 stars because it arrived on time, it was the correct book I needed, and because I just loved the experience overall. I needed it for my English class and it was the cheapest I could find it knowing that textbooks are expensive. It also arrived by the time I needed it so I wasn't behind on my reading or anything. It's also a good book. It has all different types of essays and they're pretty short and interesting to read and very easy to analyze. I will probably not sell this one to the bookstore after the class ends because I really enjoyed reading it. It actually had good stories in it and I enjoyed reading it.
